Research context
MOD GRF (1-29) is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analogue of the amino-terminal fragment of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), with amino acid substitutions made to improve stability. Mayo and colleagues (1995) reviewed GHRH synthesis and receptor signalling in the pituitary. Jetté and colleagues (2005) described modified GRF(1-29) analogues in rat studies of receptor activation. In laboratory work, such analogues are used to examine GHRH receptor signalling in cell-based assays and animal models. Published findings describe receptor biology and experimental systems only and are not evidence of effects in people. Researchers should follow their own validated protocol for solvent choice, assay conditions and handling, and review the batch certificate of analysis before use.
